Today was Google I/O day, and the message was direct: Google wants Gemini to become more active across Search, Android, Workspace, shopping, and developer tools. Meanwhile, OpenAI and Anthropic pushed on trust and workplace adoption.
1. Google announced a wider Gemini agent push
Google said it is releasing Gemini Omni and Gemini 3.5, while adding more agent-style features across its products. The company also highlighted Google Antigravity, its agent-first development platform, and new agent experiences in Search, Gemini, shopping, and more.
The simple version: Google does not want AI to sit in one chat box. It wants AI to show up where people already search, shop, write, watch videos, and build software.
2. OpenAI added stronger labels for AI-made media
OpenAI announced a stronger content provenance system for images. It is combining C2PA Content Credentials, Google SynthID watermarking, and a public verification tool preview.
This matters because AI images are getting easier to make and harder to judge at a glance. Labels and watermarks are not perfect, but they give people, journalists, and platforms more clues about where an image came from.
3. Anthropic put Claude deeper into KPMG
Anthropic announced a global alliance with KPMG. Claude will be embedded in KPMG’s Digital Gateway platform, starting with tools for tax and legal clients, and KPMG’s more than 276,000 employees will get access.
That is a big signal for office work. AI is not only coming to solo workers. It is being built into the systems large professional firms use every day.
What this means for me?
AI tools are becoming less like websites you visit and more like helpers inside the apps you already use. That can save time, but it also makes it easier to forget when AI is involved. Look for labels, review outputs, and keep important decisions human-checked.
Bottom line: Today’s AI news was about reach. Google wants Gemini everywhere, OpenAI wants AI media easier to identify, and Anthropic wants Claude inside serious workplace systems.
